Passing out ceremony of KP, Punjab rescuers held

The passing out ceremony of 1311 male and female rescuers from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab was held at Emergency Services Academy here on Thursday. The Provincial Minister for Counter Terrorism Department Lieutenant-Colonel Sardar Muhammad Ayub Khan (retd) was the chief guest, while Secretary Relief & Rehabilitation & Settlement Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ahmad Hanif Aurakzai and Director General, Emergency Rescue Service, Dr Asad Ali Khan were the guests of honour.
The ceremony was attended by the Director General Punjab Emergency Service, Dr Rizwan Naseer, Divisional Emergency Officers, Rescue 1122's Headquarters, Faculty of the Emergency Services Academy. As per details, some 541 Rescuers from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 770 Rescuers from Punjab have successfully completed their professional training organized here at the Emergency Services Academy. Dr Rizwan Naseer claimed that owing to professional training, the performance of the Service speaks for itself.
Speaking on the ceremony, Sardar Muhammad Ayub Khan said that rescuers were the brave sons of soil, who put their lives in danger to save the lives of others. He asserted that he himself witnessed excellent professionalism exhibited by rescuers during accidents, floods and other disasters. He said that under the dynamic leadership of the Chief Minister Punjab, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, the province is moving towards a progress & safer Punjab.
The Director General, Emergency Rescue Service, KPK, Asad Ali Khan said, "Dr. Rizwan Naseer is not only the Director General of Punjab Emergency Service, rather he is the Founder Rescue 1122, Pakistan. He said the Punjab was playing the pivotal & true role of elder brother for other provinces, as owing to provision of free of cost emergency management training & technical assistance by Punjab, now Rescue Service has expanded to 16 Districts in KPK. He said, "We started the journey of Rescue Services from 8 to 9 Rescue Stations in KPK".
