Shahbaz leaving for London today

Punjab Chief Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif is proceeding for London today to enquire about the health of Begum Kusloom Nawaz, who is undergoing cancer treatment there. During his three-day visit, Shahbaz apart from inquiring about the health of Kulsoom Nawaz will also meet the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) activists in London. He is expected to share his views with the PML-N workers about the current situation in Pakistan.
Kulsoom Nawaz, who has already undergone a throat surgery, is expected to get treatment of chemotherapy within next few days. Nawaz Sharif along with his two sons is already in London. In a statement on Monday, Shahbaz lashed out at the country's 'enemies', saying those leveling baseless allegations and spreading lies have failed at every step. "The people see your hollow claims," he said, adding: "Those spreading lies will continue to fail at every moment."
Shahbaz said, "These elements are against timely completion of development projects." Moreover, Shahbaz has ordered an inquiry into aerial firing outside Pakistan People's Party office in Islampura area which is part of NA-120 constituency. Shahbaz has also called a report from CCPO Lahore and ordered action against those responsible for the incident. It may be added the by-election in NA-120 is scheduled to be held on September 17. A total of 44 candidates are in the run.
