A flag lowering ceremony at the Wagha border witnessed a patriotic zeal and fervour on the part of Pakistani spectators on Wednesday evening. The whole nation is marking 6th Sep as Pakistan Defence Day and the flag lowering ceremony registered a special enthusiasm on the part of spectators at the Wagha border. Especially, the audience rose from their seats and chanted slogans of 'Long Live Pakistan' and 'God is great' when the Jawans of Pakistan Rangers marched towards the zero point with and eye to eye contact with their counterparts on the border.
Special patriotic songs were also part of the ceremony that added to the enthusiasm of Pakistani youngsters. They kept dancing on national songs and thumping of drums. Another ceremony took place at the Ganda Singh Border in Kasur. Pakistan Rangers made special security arrangements on the occasion.
