Khawaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology (KFUEIT) and AGAHI signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that is aimed at chalking multiple possibilities to harness better futures by engaging various stakeholders. The two organizations will work together within the scope of their mandates on research and development towards setting up Pakistan's first Foresight Lab. The Foresight Lab, is a facilitative platform that will provide a forum for debate and the exchange of ideas enabling meaningful futures discourse.
Dr Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor Khawaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology said, "The University is committed in its mission to work in partnership with AGAHI for its futures research and development programme. KFUEIT, as knowledge-partners of AGAHI, under a well-considered plan will create a hybrid pool of resources for knowledge sharing for academicians creating a national conversation on alternative futures perspective."
The industry-academia linkage between AGAHI and KFUEIT will be working on promoting social debates concerning the formation of futures research by bringing together experts from various disciplinary backgrounds to incorporate their opinions and applying existing models to envision a broader range of insights into futures research and development pertinent to Pakistan's Foresight Initiative. Dr Shahid Mahmud, Co-Founder of Foresight Lab and Chairman and Group CEO Interactive Group of Companies said, "This collaboration will help the futures thinking in facilitating the process of institutionalized research-oriented decisions led by academia.-PR
