Rs 130 million being incurred on Mayo hospital's new medical ward

The ground breaking ceremony of state-of-the-art five-storey building of historical North Medical Ward of Mayo Hospital at a cost of Rs 130 million was held, here on Sunday. Tajammal Foundation has taken the responsibility to build this building. Begum Mian Tajammal Hussain unveiled the plaque of foundation stone of the building.
Mian Nusrat Hussain younger brother of late Mian Tajammal Hussain and other family members, coordinator of the project Professor Muhammad Awais, Medical Superintendent Dr Tahir Khalil and the technical consultants were present on the occasion. Professor Muhammad Awais informed that family of late Mian Tajammal Hussain would spend Rs 130 million on this project. He added that all necessities including H-VAC system is also part of the project which would be completed within a year.
