China's imports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) rose 39.7 percent in August from a year earlier to 3.14 million tonnes, data from China's General Administration of Customs showed on Saturday. For the first eight months of the year, LNG imports rose 44.2 percent to 22.12 million tonnes.
Exports of diesel rose 38.2 percent to 1.47 million tonnes in August, and rose 17.9 percent to 10.83 million tonnes in the first eight months of the year. Gasoline exports were up 35.2 percent from a year earlier in August to 910,000 tonnes. For the January to August period, gasoline exports rose 10.7 percent to 6.74 million tonnes. China's exports of kerosene fell 7.8 percent year-on-year in August to 1.04 million tonnes. Kerosene exports also fell in the January to August period, slipping 1.2 percent to 8.07 million tonnes.
