Sindh Minister for Labour Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has assured that one-window operation will be started for the welfare of labourers and industrialists to facilitate them through social security, EOBI and Workers Welfare Boards. Speaking at a meeting with industrialists of the North Karachi Association of Trade and Industries (NKATI), he said that the problems of North Karachi Industrialists will be resolved on priority and it is the duty of the government to facilitate the industrialists for further development of the industrial sector.
He said that Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah wants to develop the infrastructure of all Industrial zones across Sindh, for which a package of Rs 1 billion has been set out, out of which Rs 25 million had been released for rehabilitation, sewerage, roads and other development works in the North Karachi Industrial Area. The government of Sindh is also thinking of providing fire tenders to all zones and it will be supervised and monitored by respective industrial zone in any emergency in future.
He also assured that through the integrated transport system in the city many projects are being initiated in the transport sector and the green, red, blue, orange and red lines are for the betterment of the city's transport problems. Legislations would also be made if required for amendment of labour laws and other necessary laws for the betterment of labourers and industrialists. A liaison committee will effectively resolve the issues of both labourers and industrialists.
Replying to questions from the media, said that the MQM and PTI have the right to adopt any political process. Later the minister inaugurated NKATI's newly constructed dispensary for the labourers of North Karachi. The minister expressed appreciation for the steps taken by NKATI and asked the Commissioner of SESSI to immediately provide a doctor with staff and ambulance to NKATI for the workers of the area.
