NUST Research Institute for Microwave and Millimeter-Wave Studies (RIMMS) held the inaugural session of the 3-day workshop titled "International CST Workshop on EM Solvers and Antenna Design" in collaboration with Computer Simulation Technology (CST), Germany at NUST H-12 Campus on Tuesday.
This workshop is an integral part of series of events being conducted at NUST to mark the successful completion of 15 years of Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan. The workshop was sponsored by HEC, National Radio Telecommunication Corporation (NRTC), Rohde & Schwarz (R&S) and TELEC Electronics & Machinery (Pvt.) Ltd and supported by IEEE Islamabad section.
Dr Asif Raza, Pro-Rector (Academics), NUST, was the chief guest at the inaugural session. Principal RIMMS, AVM Shahid Niaz, delivered the welcoming remarks followed by inaugural address by Pro-Rector (Academics). Subsequently, the technical talks were given by International CST officials, Dr El-Hadidy and Engr. Yasmine. Dr El-Hadidy is the General Manager of CST Middle East and the research group leader/teaching director at University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany.
The workshop witnessed an excellent participant of more than 150 persons including graduate students, faculty members from various Universities and professionals from private and government sector organizations. It not only provided an excellent opportunity to network and discuss collaborative ideas but also increase in awareness of emerging technologies in RF & Microwave research and development domain.-PR
