The chairman of Qaumi Watan Party (QWP), Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao has said that the ongoing bilateral Pak-Afghan dialogue is a goodwill gesture and it would be benefited both countries. Aftab Sherpao appealed to the federal government to take sincere measures at national and diplomatic level to ensure brotherly relations with Afghanistan adding that it was in the interests of both the nations and entire region.
"We should avoid turning decades of hospitality into enmity. This can only be a conspiracy of the enemies of Pakistan who intend to isolate Pakistan in the entire region" he added. Sherpao asked party workers to make sure actively participation in the Party foundation day on 17th October 2017 with a great zeal.
He was addressing a public meeting at Union Council Dhakki Tehsil, Tangi District Charsadda accompanied by other party leaders on the occasion. "Qaumi Watan Party's sole platform for the representation of the Pakhtoons in centre and province and the leadership are work hard for the rights of its people, Sherpao said.
QWP chief said that the people of Fata and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa laid down their lives and suffered grievously in the fighting militancy and for the cause of democracy and rule of law and added that the only solution to the people of Fata is to merge the region with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Aftab Sherpao said that we should not be unmindful of the threats to the basic values of lives of the province people. He said that welfare of people must always be uppermost in our minds. He said that 2018 is the year of general elections and asked the party leaders and workers for preparation and impressed upon them to strengthen bonds with the masses and revitalize activities. The party chairman said his party is the lonely voice for the Pakhtuns' rights and will do every effort for their welfare.
