The Medical Unit II of Lahore General Hospital will host a workshop on "hands on diabetic workshops" from October 9 to 30, to train the staff of medical, surgical, gynae and nursing departments. These four sessions of workshop would take place on October 9, 12, 23 and 30, which would be organized under the supervision of Diabetic and Chronology Unit where faculty members of Medical Unit Dr Imran Hassan Khan, Dr Maliha Hameed, Dr Kashif Aziz and Dr Salman Shakeel will deliver training lectures on diabetic, treatment and its complications.
Talking to media here on Friday, Principal of Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) Professor Ghias un Nabi Tayyab said that these workshops were being held under the Health Education Programme of PGMI.
"Keeping in view the increasing number of diabetic patients, it is important that doctors should be trained and their capacity building is focused. Awareness should also be created among masses to adopt preventive measures as well as proper medication and exercise along with diet," he added.
