Punjab Governor Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana has summoned Punjab Assembly session on October 16 via a notification issued here on Monday. The session will be held at 10 am. The session will continue for approximately more than 15 days to complete the 100 days of the parliamentary year. Sources said the session had been convened to table the more than 11 bills for debate. The Punjab Zakat and Ushar Bill 2017 and provincial Motor Vehicles amendment Bill 2017 will be tabled for introduction in the Assembly.
As many as eleven bills will be referred to the standing committee. The Punjab education initiatives management authority Bill 2017, The Dera Ghazi Khan development authority bill 2017, the parks and horticulture authority amendment bill 2017, the Punjab education standards development authority bill 2017, the Punjab criminal prosecution service constitution, functions and power amendment bill 2017, the Ehtram-e-Ramzan amendment bill, the Punjab employees efficiency, discipline and accountability amendment bills will be presented in the assembly session for comprehensive debate and final approval.
Sources said that on the first day of the session, the assembly would also deal with a question hour on the services and general administration department and privilege and adjournment motions.
