Issue of IB's 'fake' documents resolved after PM's assurance: NA informed

Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC), Riaz Hussain Pirzada Wednesday informed the National Assembly that the issue of fake document of Intelligence Bureau (IB) with regard to linking of 37 lawmakers with banned militant groups has been settled after assurance of the Prime Minister.
Speaking on the floor of the National Assembly, the minister said, "I thank the Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi for settling down the issue of fake document of IB which was aired in a TV programme." He said that the Prime Minister took notice of this issue and settled down it. "Now the action against the private TV Channel should not be conducted head-on. Now, we will not protest again in the House on this issue."
He said that discussion about this issue should come to an end now as it was a fake document. He said after the assurance and action taken by the government, now this issue should be settled down once for all. Shah Mahmood Qureshi said, "If the issue has been settled then I request to quash the FIR registered against the private TV channel and not to target it." Minister Riaz Hussain Pirzada said that the members would not proceed against the media house.
Major Tahir Iqbal (retd) said that the employees of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) have been on strike for many days, adding that the patients are in miserable condition due to the strike. Later, PTI MNA Ali Muhammad Khan strongly protested the incident of putting a Pakistani in front of a lion in Saudi Arabia. He said that the government should take action in this regard. MNA Khalil George of PML-N said that a report about a class eight boy, Arsalan Mushtaq of Christian community, who died due to alleged police torture in Sheikhupura Jhabran Mandi, should be presented in the House.
