Heat wave spell is expected to start dissipating from today with a slight fall in temperature to 38 degrees Celsius in the metropolis, the Met Office said on Friday. Despite a warm weather forecast for the city on Saturday, the Met said that temperature is likely to drop to 38 degrees Celsius with a fair rise in humidity to 70 percent. Weather on Sunday is expected to remain partly cloudy with 37 degrees Celsius temperature.
In the next 24 hours: Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in the most parts of the country with a rain-thunderstorm at a few places in Malakand Division, Upper FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Weather over the last 24 hours remained hot and dry across the most parts of country. Maximum temperature 43 degrees Celsius was recorded in Shaheed Benazirabad, 42 in Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Mithi and Sukkur each. Parachinar received 2 mm of rain and Bagrote 1 mm.
