Defeated politicians bent upon creating chaos: Shahbaz

14 Oct, 2017

The Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif Friday said the government of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) always prioritized national interests and the projects of national development have been moved further with high-quality and speed despite different obstacles.
While talking to members of the assembly belonging to different districts of the province, who called on him today, Shehbaz said the elements that staged sit-in are trying to create hindrances again for their personal agenda. "These defeated political elements are doing enmity with the nation by practicing the politics of chaos for their personal gains," he said, adding "the national stability is pivotal for development and prosperity and the projects initiated during the present tenure of the PML-N have no resemblance in the 70 years' history of the country."
Shehbaz told the legislators that every project of the present government is a symbol of transparency, high-quality and speed; while billions of rupees have also been saved in various mega projects. On one side, the stories of transparency and public service have been written while on the other side, mendacity and baseless allegations have been alleged, he said.
Shehbaz maintained that the nation will hold strict accountability of these elements in the general elections of 2018. He said that precious time of the nation was wasted due to sit-in and the journey of development was obstructed, while the country was made bankrupted in the previous tenure due to unabated plunder of national resources, he said.
He said that due to the hard work of the PML-N government, the country has moved to road to progress and the dark clouds hovering for the last many years have been exuviate due to the continued struggle of the PML-N government spanning over more than four years.
Those who called on the Chief Minister included MNAs Rana Muhammad Hayat and Muhammad Moin Wattoo, Special Assistant Malik Saleem Iqbal, MPAs Mehdi Abbas Langha and Mehmoodul Hassan Cheema, Chairman District Council Gujranwala Mazhar Qayyum Nahra and former MNA Mudassar Qayyum Nahra.
