On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,034. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.547 billion and the number of lots traded was 9,764.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.405 billion, followed by WTI crude oil PKR 935.600 million, Currencies through COTS PKR 926.445 million, DJIA PKR 567.856 million, silver PKR 362.160 million, platinum PKR 188.100 million, copper PKR 55.565 million, NSDQ100 PKR 43.829 million, natural gas PKR 40.386 million, SNP500 PKR 19.110 million and Brent crude oil PKR 3.294 million.
In agricultural commodities, 65,599 lots of red chili amounting to PKR 10.348 million were traded.
