Temperature is expected to drop to 36 degrees Celsius in the next 48 hours, as the Met Office on Friday forecast partly cloudy weather for Karachi. Mercury level is likely to drop to 37 degrees Celsius on Saturday and further to 36 degrees Celsius on Sunday with humidity persisting up to 90 percent over the period.
In the next 24 hours: Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in the most parts of the country. Mithi and Chhor were the hottest places in the country with maximum 42 degrees Celsius, followed by Lasbella 41, and Sibbi and Turbat 40, each over the past 24 hours. "Continental air is prevailing over the most parts of the country. However, a shallow westerly wave is affecting extreme northern parts of the country," the Met Office said.
