Soyameal higher on European feeds market

22 Oct, 2017

Soyameal offers on Europe's animal feeds market edged higher on Thursday, supported by firm U.S soyabean futures, but activity remained subdued with buying interest limited to nearby positions, traders said. Traders were waiting for clearer indications about the US harvest and planting in South America. Chicago soyabean rose 0.2 percent on Thursday after a three-day fall linked to improving weather in Brazil, which is easing concern about planting risks after a dry spell.
In Europe, Argentine high protein soyameal for October delivery was offered for sale at $361 a tonne CIF Rotterdam, up $2 from Wednesday. Brazilian high protein soyameal for October was unchanged at $378 a tonne CIF Rotterdam. EU-produced high protein soyameal for October delivery was offered for sale at $366 a tonne FOB Rotterdam, up $1 on the day. Euro-denominated rapeseed meal for November was offered unchanged at 173 euros ($205) a tonne FOB lower Rhine.
