The profit after tax of Nestle Pakistan Limited has increased to Rs 11.331 billion in the nine month period ended September 30, 2017 as compared to Rs 9.816 billion earned in the corresponding period in 2016. The company's earning per share increased to Rs 249.88 in the period under review against Rs 216.47 in the same period last year.
The board of directors of the company in its meeting held on Tuesday at Lahore recommended cash dividend at Rs 70.00 per share ie 700 percent which is in addition to Rs 170.00 per share ie 1700 percent interim cash dividend already paid to the entitled shareholders.
According to the financial results, the company's net sales increased to Rs 92.395 billion in this period against Rs 84.356 billion in the same period last year while the cost of goods sold increased to Rs 58.264 billion against Rs 53.306 billion.
The company's profit before taxation stood at Rs 16.239 billion in this period against Rs 14.286 billion in the same period last year. On quarterly basis, the company's profit after tax increased to Rs 3.398 billion with earning per share of Rs 74.93 in the three month period ended September 30, 2017 as compared to PAT of Rs 3.395 billion with EPS of Rs 74.88 in the same period in 2016.
