The district government here on Tuesday successfully put into practice solar system energy provision at health facilities for continuous functioning of the vital facilities including X-rays plants, operation theatres, dental units and other equipment. Initially the solar energy facility was provided to health centres of Badhber, Garhi Tajik and Garhi Sher Dad that started functioning the other day.
The district government has decided to provide all BHUs and RHCs of the district with solar energy facility for uninterrupted medical cover to the patients. The district Nazim Peshawar, Muhammad Asim Khan today paid visits to health centres of Matani and Badhber along with district member Fazl e Malik where the staff briefed him about the functioning of solar energy system.
The staff told the Nazim that supply of power through solar system was continued and all appliances including fans, lights, high voltage machinery, Operation Theater, x-rays machine and dental unit were functioning without any break.
The patients present on this occasion were thankful to the Nazim for installing solar system in health centres saying with this facility now they won't has to wait for hours to be treated besides going to big hospitals due to power outages in their areas.
The district Nazim expressed satisfaction over the patients' remarks and directed for sorting out procedure to install such like solar system at other DHOs of the district. He said work on this project would be given top place on priority list.
