Missing persons case: SC seeks report from interior ministry

The Supreme Court on Thursday sought comprehensive report from interior ministry pertaining to details of persons languishing in internment centers across the country, by November 13. Resuming the hearing of missing person's case, a two-member bench led by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan observed that humanity should be respected, adding that blood relations must not be put to test.
Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan categorically remarked that if persons in internment centers are involved in any crime, they must be produced before the courts for trial. He said that the apex court is also being kept in dark so that it could tell the near and dear ones of about status of the persons in the internment centres. The hearing was adjourned till November 13.
