At least two militants were killed in a clash with the volunteers of a peace lashkar (Aman Lashkar) in Landi Kotal area of Khyber Agency on Sunday. According to reports, the militants attacked a post of the peace lashkar in Zakhakhel area of Landi Kotal, near Pak-Afghan border. However, no life loss was reported in the attack. The volunteers retaliated to the attack. At least two militants were killed. No members of the Aman Lashkar were harmed in the attack.
Sources said that the militants attacked through mortar shells and rocket launcher. The clash continued for two hours during which rocket launchers and mortar shells were also used, they said. According to reports, the militia recovered the bodies of the dead militants, while some of the attackers fled to Afghanistan. The bodies of the terrorists are in the possession of the Aman lashkar.
