Army upset Navy in Cricket Championship

Middle order batsmen Sana Ullah and Shahid Khan added 170 fourth wicket partnership to guide Pakistan Army to record a 17 runs victory against strong Pakistan Navy in the ongoing One-Day Cricket Championship part of the Inter-Services Sports Gala being played under the aegis of PAF Sports Board Control Committee here at PAF Sports Complex ground on Sunday. Sana Ullah hammered a cracking 84 runs off 83 balls with seven dashing boundaries and one six while Shahid Khan struck a quick-fire 86 runs off 67 balls, laced with five sixes and four boundaries.
The thrilling match was enjoyed by capacity crowd present on this occasion with Director Sports PAF Sports Control Committee Group Captain Amir Nawa, Officer Commanding School of Physical Fitness PAF Sqn Ldr Saif Ur Rehman, Flt Lieutenant Salman were also present.
Pakistan Army won the toss and elected to bat first by setting up 244 runs for the loss of nine wickets after playing the allotted 40 overs. In reply, Pakistan Navy played well but failed to chase the target and was bowled out for 227 runs after playing 39.3 overs and remained 17 runs short from the winning target. Hamza scored 66 off 84 balls with eight boundaries and one six. Khurram got three wickets for 33 runs in his seven overs.
