Government urged not to increase fuel prices

The Pakistan Industrial and Traders Association Front (PIAF) have asked the government not to increase prices of petroleum products for the month of November as it would push the production cost up. PIAF Chairman Irfan Iqbal Sheikh in a statement on Monday said that the public in general and the business community in particular is already facing hardship due to political and economic instability. Increase in petroleum prices would add to their miseries, he said. He said the decision to increase oil prices will result in price hike of industrial raw materials and essential items besides pushing up the cost of business. Moreover, it will also increase cargo fares and transportation cost, he added.
