Banned outfit's member among 10 arrested by Rangers

Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) on Monday said to have arrested 10 accused of criminal activities including a member of banned organization Sipah-e-Sahaba, in raids conducted in various parts of this metropolis. In a statement, a spokesman for Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) said that Muhammad Saad aka Darai associated with banned Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP) was arrested from Gulberg area. He is said to be involved in target killings, attacks on Rangers, extortion and threats to shopkeepers for closure of markets in the city.
Three street criminals were held from Jamshed Quarters and Brigade areas on charges of mobile snatchings, robberies, etc. They were identified as Muhammad Hassan, Ajab Gul, Muhammad Sajid and Muhammad Adeel. Similarly, five drug peddlers were nabbed from Awami Colony, Jamshed Quarters and Darakhshan areas of metropolis. They were identified as Abdul Munaf, Muharram Ali, Muhammad Jan aka Totro, Feroz Jan aka Sarwar, and Mazhar Hussain. Illegal arms, ammunitions, narcotics and stolen items were also recovered from their possessions. They were later given under police custody for further legal action, the statement concluded.
