The Met Office on Tuesday said that fog is expected to grip plains of Punjab and forecast hot and dry weather for the most parts of the country in the next 24 hours. Heat wave spell is likely to continue in Karachi over the next two days (Wednesday and Thursday) with a maximum temperature of 38 degrees Celsius and 60 percent humidity.
Foggy weather will also prevail in Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad Divisions and the adjoining areas. "Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country," the Met said. Minimum temperature was recorded in Skardu as minus two degrees Celsius. Karachi sizzled with 36 degrees Celsius while Nawabshah 40, Chhor 37.8, Hyderabad 36.7, Sukrand and Sukkur 37.5, each, Thatta and Dadu 37, each, Badin and Rohri 36.5 each, over the last 24 hours.
