The Lahore High Court on Friday directed police officers including SPs Hamayoun Sindhu, Behroz Khan and Tariq Mastoni to vacate houses of Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) within 15 days. The court however asked the Chief Secretary Punjab to make housing arrangement for the officers. Earlier, the police officers said that they had been paying rent to the authority for their homes. They said the FDA itself provided them houses to live and they should have asked them to vacate these houses rather than coming to the court.
However, the FDA said the officials were neither paying the rent nor did they vacate the houses. The court after hearing both the sides disposed of the petition of FDA with necessary directions.
