Maryam Nawaz on Tuesday termed detailed judgment of Supreme Court in response to review pleas of Sharif family in Panama Papers judgment a "travesty of justice." In a series of tweets following the detailed verdict, she said, "This decision could only be delivered under immense pressure; otherwise, such travesty of justice is unimaginable."
She also tweeted, "The latest decision is based more on 'adjectives' than law. First time witnessed seat of justice spewing venom." Maryam, daughter and heir apparent of the ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, said that it is the sixth decision in the same case. "It's the same Maryam who didn't even figure in the verdict earlier. Now avenged bcoz (because) she questioned and spoke against injustice. Vendetta!" she tweeted. About reason given by the Supreme Court for disqualification of Nawaz Sharif, she said, "The asset here is 'betay se tankhwa'! What a travesty of justice! (sic)."
Maryam said that a judgment based on justice does not need a clarification, adding the apex court detailed judgment has also embarrassed the principles of law and justice. "That's exactly how minority brings a bad name to the majority! Victim is not NS [Nawaz Sharif] but justice itself!" she tweeted. In an obvious reference to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan, she alleged the verdict was out the day a judge asked a political rival of Nawaz Sharif to file a non-maintainable petition.
