Karachi Tax Bar Association (KTBA) has requested the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) to extend the date for filing of Form-A and Form-29 till December 15, 2017. In a letter sent to Chairman SECP, the KTBA said that SECP has introduced new requirements such as filing of resolution along with the Form-A and Form-29 and the last date of payment of filing fee of the said forms was falling on November 10, 2017, which is Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.).
Moreover the last date of filing the said forms is November 11, 2017 which is Saturday when most of the corporate sector along with other institutions observe holiday. Therefore, due to aforesaid reasons, payment of filing fee and filing of the said forms may not be possible by November 11, 2017. Therefore, it has been requested to kindly extend the date of filing the aforesaid forms up to December 15, 2017 in order to facilitate the filers with proper compliance.
