Terming the demand of the PTI Chief for early elections as unreasonable, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif Tuesday said that those people are talking about holding of the snap elections that have ruined the KPK province. Talking to media during his visit to site of the project of Pakistan Kidney & Liver Transplant Institute (PKLI), here today, Shahbaz said, "There are so many dengue cases being reported in KPK but its officials have gone into hiding in mountains." He added, "These people are against the Metro train project. They don't want the project to be completed on time."
Answering a question, he said that Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is the leader of Pakistan Muslim League-N and whatever he will decide; we shall follow it in letter and spirit. He said that Imran Niazi is himself absconding from the courts but leveling allegations against others. "I don't find it suitable to reply to their useless talks. The case is in progress in the court of law and despite it, this gentleman is saying that Shahbaz Sharif had offered him Rs 10 billion. And instead of appearing before the court, he is saying that the case may be shifted to Islamabad or anywhere else. His allegations are a proof that he has been morally as well as politically bankrupted," Shahbaz said.
According to him, the Paradise Leaks has shown that how the biggest corrupt encroached upon lands in the country and government lands were purchased at cheaper rates. The Paradise Leaks has exposed characters like Niazi Sahib and others. Shahbaz said that the case of Orange Line Metro Train is in the court and the Lahore High Court has issued stay order. "We have approached the Supreme Court and the PTI has fully opposed this public welfare project and we hold the PTI responsible for the delay in this project," he said. He said the elements that don't want the projects of providing basic facilities to the people including health and education and Orange Line Metro Train, also want to deprive the people of Punjab of their rights.
Answering a question, he said that Zardari Sahib plundered six billion rupees of the poor nation is lecturing us today. The plunderer that looted the hard earned money of the poor nation has no right to give lectures against corruption, he said, adding: "Zardari Sahib did not write a letter on the orders of the Supreme Court to hide his corruption by getting the support of the constitution." The person that has looted 60 million dollars of the poor nation has no right to lecture against corruption, he said.
To another question, he said the then federal minister Babar Awan made a dacoity in the Nandipur Power Project and the Supreme Court gave a verdict that NAB should act against him. Billions of rupees of the poor nation were usurped in rental power projects and dacoity was made in institutions like NICL, he said. On a query, he said that he is not leveling allegations but bringing out facts. N-League and the Sharif Family are facing accountability now and the accountability should be indiscriminate; all should be included and it should also be transparent.
Answering another question, he said that there are many reasons of smog. According to international bodies, the smog situation has been arisen due to different reasons including burning of leftover of the crops in Eastern Punjab in India. It is a challenge and we shall deal with it.
