Technical & Vocational University: Tevta, Chinese officials sign MoU

Punjab Minister for Industries, Commerce & Trade Sheikh Alla-u-din has said that many technical colleges including TEVTA have been playing a key role in promoting technical education across the Punjab. He said that the establishment of Tianjin University with collaboration of China will be a milestone in the history of Pakistan. He expressed these views while chairing a departmental meeting on Tuesday in Industries Department's committee room. Secretary Industries Dr Mujtaba Paracha, Deputy Secretary Moeed Aman and others concerned persons were present on the occasion.
Secretary Industries briefed that the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Chairman TEVTA and Chinese officials has been signed for establishment of Tianjin Technical and Vocational University to strengthen the industry in Punjab. The Minister Industries said that Punjab government is working on to provide technical education throughout the province. Establishment of Tianjin Technical and Vocational Education University will also help in eliminating unemployment as well.
He said that with the formation of Pakistan's first Technical and Vocational Training University, skilled force will be developed. The Minister Industries said that intelligent Pakistani students have been sent to China on-merit to learn Chinese language, which will be helpful to play a significant role in the development and success of Pakistan.
