Islamabad High Court Tuesday issued notice to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) over ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's plea against Accountability Court's order that dismissed his plea for clubbing three corruption references filed against the Sharif family in the wake of apex court's Panama Papers verdict.
Azam Tarar, the counsel for Nawaz Sharif, invoked the IHC's jurisdiction in the matter on Tuesday with a plea to set aside the Accountability Court's order through which the special court denied to club three references against Sharif family. After hearing the arguments of the counsel in the matter, a division bench of Justice Aamir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani dismissed Nawaz's request to suspend the accountability court's proceedings and adjourned the matter till November 20.
