Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Engr Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said that universities must focus on the provision of quality education and research as provision of quality education is important for the development of society. He was addressing a two-day National Conference on "Emerging Trends in Computing, Statistics and Mathematical Sciences" held at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University, Peshawar on Tuesday.
The conference was attended by Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Dr Razia Sultana, Professor Dr Suleman Mazhar, Professor Dr Siraj ul Islam, Professor Dr Tasawar, Faculty members, prominent researchers and scholars from all over the country and students of the university. The governor said that SBBWU is playing an important role in the provision of standard and higher education besides promoting research.
The governor also appreciated the efforts of the university by organizing this national conference. The governor while appreciating the university administration for providing opportunities of higher education facilities to the female students of FATA said that it will help in promoting of higher education in FATA. Earlier, university's VC highlighted the aims and objectives of the conference.
