Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that students are the great asset of any country and provision of quality educational facilities is their fundamental right. In his message on the International Students' Day, the Chief Minister said that students are pivotal in achieving the development goals and they also help to project the soft image at national and international levels.
It is satisfying that Pakistani students are bringing laurels home with their intellect and good performance. It is imperative that every child should be educated to help develop the country. The Chief Minister said that the purpose of celebrating this day is to highlight the strong utility of education and importance of students for composite socio-economic development.
He said that different programmes are being implemented to provide quality educational facilities to the students so that they could enjoy a secure future. He said the government is giving special attention to increasing the literacy rate along with improving the standard of education and a comprehensive programme is in progress to achieve the target of 100 percent literacy.
