Non-customs paid mobile phones seized

The anti-smuggling staff of Customs has launched a crackdown at the warehouse of a renowned cellular company and confiscated more over 40,000 non-customs paid mobile phones and accessories worth Rs 600 million. Sources said that the company has caused loss to national treasure in terms of custom and other duty charges. It has also been told that this is second major operation against the company.
The operation was supervised by Deputy Collector Anti-smuggling Organization Moazzam Raza along with Superintendent Nasir Minhas, Inspector Azam Wattoo, Mansoor Ilahi and Gulzar Bhatti. The officials briefed that a lot of complaints were received against the company that led to the operation.
