LHCBA asks Dar to step down

The Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) on Saturday demanded resignation of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar. President Bar Ch. Zulfiqar Ali along with Secretary, Vice President and Finance Secretary while talking to media said that rulers had pushed the country to darkness and poverty in addition to political crisis. They said Ishaq Dar should resign as finance minister and defend corruption charges before the accountability court.
They announced to hold an all party conference on prevailing political situation in the country. The Bar leaders strongly condemned the 'vilification' campaign against the institution of judiciary. Secretary Bar Amir Saeed said that Nawaz Sharif had been bringing a bad name to the country by resorting to character assassination of state institutions. He called for resignation of all federal ministers involved in cancellation of Khatm-e-Nabuwwat declaration.
He said the whole government machinery had been out to protect a disqualified ex-Prime Minister and have left the people to rot in poverty and helplessness.
