Punjab Assembly in its 33rd session here Friday unanimously passed a resolution on the finality of prophet hood of Rasool-e-Karim Muhammad SAW (Peace be upon him). Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal chaired the session. Opposition members during the session strongly objected to hanging of boards and advertisements of 'Black Friday' saying this was an insult to this day which holds esteem for Muslim fraternity.
Opposition members walked out on the subject demanding that the government take a prompt and stern step prohibiting such advertisements. Opposition legislator Waheed Gul speaking in the house demanded that those who were promoting concept of 'Black Friday' should be blacklisted. In the resolution passed on Khatm-e-Nabuwwat SAW, legislators demanded that the subject should be included in syllabus for posterity. He stated that it was necessary to inculcate knowledge of Khatm-e-Nabuwwat in younger generation.
MPA Hina Butt submitted a resolution in the assembly on plight of poor Bangladeshi women, who were forced to indulge in acts of immoral turpitude. She spoke about the plight of Rohingya Muslims who face dire shortage of food. In the query period, it was stated by the relevant minister that Provincial cooperative Bank Daska disbursed loans to 647 farmers in year 2014-15. On the mention of lack of quorum by MPA Nabila Hakim Ali, house was adjourned till Monday.
