The Regional Board Meeting (RBM) of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has authorized an inquiry against Chinar Gul alias Hamza and Wali Ullah of Sheikh Yaseen Town, Peshawar. The Regional Board Meeting (RBM) of National Accountability Bureau Khyber Pakhtunkhwa held under the chairmanship of Brigadier Farooq Naser Awan (R), Director General NAB (KP) at Peshawar.
The meeting was attended by Directors, Additional Directors, Case Officers, Senior Legal Consultants and other concerned officers. Several important decisions were taken in the meeting. The accused have allegedly cheated general public of Rs 1.12 billion. The accused persons have lured innocent individuals to invest in Shiekh Yaseen Town Peshawar. Despite receiving full payment, they have not handed over the possession to the affectees. They are criminally using clients' investment in other commercial projects in Peshawar, Mardan and Rawalpindi.
It was also decided to initiate preliminary probe into many other complaints. Probe into complaints against officers/officials of Revenue Department, Hairpur and others had been initiated.
They are allegedly involved in corruption and corrupt practice and illegally transferred Shamilat land at Mauza Najafpur, Haripur despite ban on transfer of Shamilat land. The Bureau took cognizance of corruption and corrupt practices by Muhammad Zubair, XEN C&W Department FR Kohat and others. He is allegedly involved in using sub-standard material in construction of roads and destroying bills after issuing of cheques. He is also alleged to have been illegally appointed as SDO and XEN in C&W Department by paying huge bribes.
Similarly, probe had also been initiated against officers/officials of Irrigation Department Sub-Division Charsadda and others regarding corruption and corrupt practices. They are alleged to have constructed Palai Canal from Palai Dam, Tangi Charsadda by deviating from the approved map in order to favour their favourites who paid them huge kickbacks.
Furthermore, seventh preliminary probe was authorized against officers/officials of Pakhtunkhwa Highway Authority (PkHA) and others regarding corruption and corrupt practices. The subject is alleged to have embezzled Rs 300 to 400 million in the compensation money of affectees of Swat Expressway by changing measurements and commission. The bureau also took cognizance of corruption and corrupt practices by Habit Ullah, ex-Patwari.
He is alleged to have recorded those people's land on record for CPEC whose land is not affected while the value of real affectees' land is shown less than actual. At the end, Director General NAB (KP) Brigadier Farooq Naser Awan (R) requested general public to join hand with NAB (KP) for eradication of corruption from the Province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
