09 Dec, 2017

The lawyers on Friday strongly condemning US President Donald Trump's decision to accept Jerusalem as capital of Israel termed it 'a step to violence' in the region. Lahore Bar Association (LBA) will hold strike today to condemn the Trump's Jerusalem move.
The lawyers took part in the general house meeting held by the Lahore High Court Bar Association to show solidarity with Palestinians. They wore black bands, chanted slogans against the US. Addressing the meeting, the lawyers' leaders said Trump's decision is against the peace and open violation of the fundamental rights of the Palestinians.
Trump did not care of the world's resistance to his decision of accepting Jerusalem as part of Israel, they said. They said it is the time for Muslim Ummah to be united against Israel to deal with the issue of Palestinians' freedom. Bar President Zulfiqar Chaudhary, Finance Secretary Zaheer Butt and others addressed the house packed with lawyers. They urged the Muslims to get rid of their petty differences and develop unity among their ranks for their survival.
