JI holds protest rallies against US

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi on Friday observed a protest and held hundreds of demonstrations against the United States for its move to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital. A large number of people from all walks of life took part in protests, which the JI organized across the city. The central demonstration was held at Banaras Chowk where protesters held placards and banners and chanted slogans against the US and Israel for making Al-Quds a capital of the occupied Zionist nation.
Addressing the demonstration, Chief of JI, Karachi chapter, Engr Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman rejected the US unilateral decision to divest Muslims especially Palestinians of their religious rights by shifting Israel's embassy to Al-Quds from Tel Aviv. He demanded of armies of the Muslim world to get the US decision withdrawn. He strongly criticized the US President, Donald Trump for a highly controversial move. He appealed to the Muslims to show unity on the issue, and disarray their differences with each other.
"It is not a diplomatic issue but a matter of our faith, belief and religion", he told the participants, saying that Muslim coalition forces should play their due role in this regard. The liberation of the Qibla-e-Awal is an obligation to the coalition forces, he asserted. The chiefs of Muslim armies; weather General Jawed Qamar Bajwa or Raheel Sharif, will have to play their role, he said, adding that the government of Pakistan as well as the OIC will have to adopt a strong and firm stance against this move.
"If the US and Israel did not withdraw their decision, then Muslim armies will have to wage a war against Israel," he warned, asking the world community and American citizens to play their role to solve the issue. He also termed Israel as 'gangrene' for the humanity. He also threatened that his party followers will take to the streets to lay siege to the US Consulate in Karachi to show their resentment against Trump's irrational and inhuman decision.
