The advisor to chief minister for social welfare has said that the Sindh government has enhanced the job quota of disabled persons from three to five percent. The adviser, Shamim Mumtaz, said that the chief minister has constituted a committee on the subject. She said that the disability certificates issued by private institutions are not valid for employment and advised candidates for jobs to get certificates issued by social welfare department.
Addressing participants of an awareness walk on the subject, she advised job-seeking individuals in the quote to get registered with the social welfare department to get maximum benefits from the facilities announced by government.
