Houbara bustard population: three bodies formed to conduct survey

The Wildlife & Parks Department Punjab has constituted three committees to carry out survey of houbara bustard population in Rahim Yar Khan, Rajanpur and Bhakkar districts. The six-member committees will conduct survey under latest scientific method "king strip" and submit a report to the department within a week. This was decided during a departmental meeting here on Friday with Director General Wildlife & Parks Department Khalid Ayyaz Khan in the chair. The DG said he would himself monitor this survey and all the arrangements in this regard.
