Chief of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman has warned that continuation of protest marches, sit ins and violence will destabilize the country and delay much needed development projects undertaken in the framework of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Maulana Fazal-ur-Rahman whose party is a coalition partner of PML-N, was talking to the media, here on Friday. He said China is already worried over the political situation in Pakistan therefore we must make efforts to clear the uncertainties and remove Chinese investors' apprehensions.
He said the country is not in position to afford any more protest for petty political interests therefore we should behave like a mature nation for economic and political stability of Pakistan With regard to the issue of Khatm-e-Nabuwwat, Maulana said that this delicate religious issue was created by the Parliament and the Parliament has corrected its mistake.
He said his party also participated in the protest and would continue to do so against President Donald Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the Israeli capital. He said no country except Israel has accepted this decision for such a step would constitute a clear violation of international law and UN Security Council resolutions particularly UNSCR 478 of 1980.
