Shahbaz directs observance of Al-Quds Defence Day

Under the directions of CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, Al-Quds Defence Day (Yum-e-Tahaffez Al -Quds) would be observed on Friday (Today) and a main rally would be held in this regard to show the national solidarity against the decision of declaring the Jerusalem as a capital of Israel.
The rally would be started from District Council Chowk and go to Clock Tower Chowk after passing through the Khaleeq Qureshi road and Katcheri Bazar. In this connection, a meeting was held here under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani to review the arrangements of rally and finalization of matters regarding participation of the different segments of the society in the rally.
SSP Operation Rana Masoom, ADCG Khalid Masood Farooqa and MCF Naeemullah Wariach, Zubair Hussain and other officers were present on the occasion while parliamentarians Dr Najma Afzal, Azad Ali Tabbasum, Ch. Faqir Hussain Dogar, Rao Kashif Raheem and others also participated in the meeting.
Deputy Commissioner said that politicians, religious leaders, traders and representatives would participate in rally and would express their strong opposition to condemn the US decision regarding reorganization of Baitul Muqadas as capital of Israel. He said that Baitul Muqadas is a holy place for Muslims and we strongly condemns latest development regarding shifting of Israel's capital. He said that Al-Quds Defence Day would be observed with deep concerned.
Parliamentarians said that the decision of shifting Al-Quds/Jerusalem as capital of Israel is a serious violation of International Law. They said that parliamentarians including people from all walks of life would participate in the rally in connection with Al-Quds Defence Day.
Meanwhile, District Peace & Interfaith Committee meeting was also held at DC Office. Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani informed the ulema that under the directions of Punjab govt. Al-Quds Defence Day would be observed vigorously in the district. He said that the Muslim Ummah deeply respect the Qibla Awwal Baitul Maqadas without any discrimination and would not accept the decision of US President. He asked the ulema of all sects to participate in the rally to show the national solidarity in this regard.
SSP Operation Muhammad Masoom said that strict security measures would be made on the eve of Al-Quds Defence Day. Molana Muhammad Yousaf Anwar, Mufti Zia Madni, Pir Faiz Rasul Haider Rizvi, Molana Riaz Kharal, Aslam Bhalli, Mian Asif Aslam, Deputy Mayor Muhammad Amin Butt and others condemns the decision of US resolution and said implications of this decision would affect International Peace. They said that ulema of all sects would participate in the rally and would record their fierce protest.
They appreciated the decision of the Punjab govt. to observe Youm-e-Tahaffez Al-Quds and said that the national voice would be raised against the US decision and clear message would be shown to the world. They expressed their determination for maximum participation in the rally on Youm-e-Tahaffez Al-Quds.
