Under the arrangements of District Red Crescent Society, 300 bedded Institute of Gynaecology and Neonatology has been started work and funds of Rs 65 million has spent on its completion. Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani along with members of Executive body of District Red Crescent Society formally inaugurated the newly constructed building of Institute of Gynaecology and Neonatology. The facilities of Labour Room, Operation Theatre, High Risk Patient Unit, OPD and emergency medical services have been available at the hospital.
Institute around the clock while this institution has been recognised by College of Physician and Surgeon Pakistan for the Post graduate training in Fellow of College of Physicians and Surgeons (FCPS). The Newly constructed building is adjacent to the existent of the Hilal e Ahmar Maternity Hospital in the heart of the city. The seven new wards have been established in this building with the valuable donation of local industrialists and business community. The Institute of Gynaecology and Neonatology is a great addition in health facilities for the maternity patients being run under District Red Crescent Society.
The deputy commissioner thanked the philanthropists for contributing huge donation for the completion of remarkable project which was dire needed of this populace city to meet the increasing demand of medical services for the Maternity / Gynaecology. He also lauded the excellent efforts of the Medical Superintendent Dr Hafiz Mukhtar Randhawa, other doctors and Paramedical staff for performing commitment and dedicated services to get the strong confidence of public on Hilal e Ahmar Maternity Hospital.
Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani, Industrialist/Philanthropist Major (R) Shanawaz Ul Hassan of Passban Group, Farrukh Zaman of Kalash Group, Muhammad Asghar of Power Chemicals , Haji Muhammad Ramzan of Farrukh Flour Mills, Ch.Yasin, Hammayu Arshad , Mian Kamalud Din and others took a round of different wards and sections of the newly constructed building and appreciated the workmanship of the project.
Philanthropists announced to take the responsibilities for the repair and maintenance of their specified ward. They also termed this project is a blessing for the Gynae patients and said that the services of this Maternity hospital was very much up to the mark in quality to serve humanity and help in sharing the burden of Govt. hospitals.
The deputy commissioner announced for establishment of School of Nursing and diabetic centre in Institute of Gynaecology and Neonatology and directed to the management for devising plan in this regard and preparing the feasibility report immediately. The philanthropist announced three ambulances for the institute and providing donation for setting up of cafeteria, Waiting area and other facilities for the patients.
MS Dr Hafiz Mukhtar Randhawa during the meeting of Executive body apprised the participants of the performance and working of the Institute of Gynaecology and Neonatology under District Red Crescent Society. He also thanked the philanthropists for contributing valuable funds for this public welfare project and assured that further investment would be added in medical facility.
