Appreciating the commitment of Chief Justice of Supreme Court, Justice Saqib Nisar for the independence and impartiality of the judiciary, the Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Liaqat Baloch, has said that the masses also expected the courts to administer decisions on the basis of justice and equity. He was talking to the media at his residence.
Liaqat Baloch said that the CPEC was a project between China and Pakistan but the ousted Prime Minister had projected it as a PML-N project due to which Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa expressed their reservations. He however stressed that the CPEC must be completed at all costs as it was a grand project for national development. He said that the country's enemies were deadly opposed to the CPEC and were trying to sabotage it in every manner.
He said that the Muslim Ummah had rejected US President Trump's declaration about Jerusalem. He said that previous US Presidents Bush, Bill Clinton and Barak Obama did not have the courage to take such a decision as would hurt the sentiments of the Muslim world. He said that this declaration had proved that Trump was not a sane person. JI Lahore chief Zikrullah Mujahid also spoke on the occasion.
