Actor Priyanka Chopra and American singer Nick Jonas are the latest newly-weds in B-Town as they tied the knot in Christian and Hindu wedding ceremonies in Jodhpur after days of some grand and unusual festivities.

The bride and groom had both Indian and Western wedding traditions. The wedding festivities kicked off at Umaid Bhawan Palace hotel with an afternoon-mehendi ceremony. Priyanka and Nick’s mehendi ceremony was held on Friday, a day after which the couple shared stunning images from the function on Instagram.
‘Game of Thrones’ actor Sophie Turner has also left her fans in awe with her Indian traditional appearance for their Mehendi ceremony.
An unusual part of the mehendi ceremony was a cricket match between the ‘bride team and groom team’. In a photo shared by the bride, Priyanka’s brother Siddharth and Priyanka appear to be dressed in festive attire while the respective squads were dressed to set the pitch on fire.
The day after the mehendi, sangeet ceremony was held where again the bride side and groom side competed thorugh their dance performances. The ceremony saw Priyanka perform with her mother, Madhu Chopra, on the song ‘Ram Chahe Leela’ from the film ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela - Ram Leela’. Parineeti also took to the stage for a performance, while both the bride and the groom’s mothers also delivered speeches.
“It all began as a fierce song and dance competition between the families but ended, as always as a huge celebration of love. Nick and I were looking forward to the Sangeet (musical evening) and to see what each side had put together,” Priyanka wrote in an Instagram post, sharing pictures and videos from the sangeet. “And what a performance it was,” she continued.
Fans are still waiting for the pictures of their wedding ceremonies.
Nick and Priyanka will fly out of Jodhpur on Monday, for Delhi, where they will host a wedding reception on December 4. Another reception for their industry friends is being planned for a later date.
