Ali Musa Gilani, son of former premier Yusuf Raza Gilani, desisted from registering a police complaint against firing on him after a rapprochement with PTI leader Faisal Javed. He said the PTI spokesman had contacted him on Monday that led to rapprochement between them. Both the sides had counter claims after firing incident near Pattoki on Sunday night when PTI Chairman Imran Khan's convoy was leading to the city of Lahore.
It may be noted that PTI leader Faisal Javed had alleged of firing on Imran Khan's convoy by Ali Gilani near Pattoki. However, in a hurriedly called press conference on Sunday night, Ali had pointed out that Faisal's vehicle had hit his car that led to firing on him by the security guards of Aleem Khan. He said he could also recognize the assailants.
However, Fawad Ch contacted him and explained the stance of Faisal Javed that led to reconciliation. Imran Khan had addressed a public rally at Okara and returned to Lahore by road when the incident took place. However, no complaint was lodged by Ali Gilani against Faisal or Aleem Khan. Ali Gilani's brother Qasim Gilani had also sought apology from Imran Khan in a message on social media. PPP Spokesman Ch Manzoor had also criticized the PTI leadership for misleading the media about the incident.
