"Roshan Pakistan" is an Android based mobile application developed by Power Information Technology Company (PITC). It is a step forward towards making electricity consumers able to readily access Billing Details, Load Shedding Information, Estimated Bill calculation and Net Metering Information.
This app is available on Google Play Store in both Urdu and English versions with user friendly interfaces. It has a feature of remembering consumer reference number, once it is entered then, consumer do not need to enter it again while navigating through different available options and features of the app.
Loadshedding schedule: To check loadshedding schedule, one has to enter his correct reference number. This follows with results including name, address, feeder code and its name, grid name as well as feeder's current status along with an hour by hour breakdown of the load shedding schedule along with comparison of planned and actual load shedding.
Moreover, percentage of feeder losses is also displayed to ensure transparency, whether load shedding is according to the loss percentage of the feeder or not. There is also an additional feature of getting graphical representation of load shedding schedule.
Checking billing information: Billing information can also be checked by entering the reference number. Through bill information, one can get his/her bill details along with the previous history of billing and payment amounts. Duplicate bill along with image of the meter can also be generated, as well as estimated bill can be calculated by just entering the consumed units.
Net metering information: Net Metering information enables the user to check whether Net Metering facility is available on his/her respective feeder or not by just entering his/her reference number. This feature also informs the user about the available capacity with resect of Net Metering on the respective feeder.
Getting a bill estimate: The Bill Estimator features options for domestic and commercial billing, and one-phase and three-phase meters. Put in the number of units, number of TV sets (only affects the Rs 35 PTV fee) in use and if there are any applicable exemptions to get a bill estimate with a breakdown.
