At least two people were killed in a drone attack near Pakistan-Afghanistan border on Tuesday, Aaj News reported. Reports said the drone strike targeted a vehicle near the border. Two people inside the vehicle were killed as a result of the drone missile attack. There were divergent views on the actual location whether it was inside Pakistan or it hit two people in Afghanistan.
Reuters reported that a Pakistani official and two members of the Haqqani group said a suspected US drone attack along the Pakistani-Afghan border killed the commander from the Taliban-allied Haqqani Network. The Pakistani official said it was not immediately clear whether the missile struck on the Afghan or Pakistani side of the border. The members of the network and an eyewitness reached by Reuters said the incident took place inside Pakistan.
