District Revenue Department has recovered Rs 3.567 billion of government's dues in different heads by taking action against the defaulters during the last year while 1151 acres, 5 kanals and 13 marlas state land of worth 9.00 billion has been retrieved from the illegal possession during this period.
This was informed by ADCR Muhammad Shahid during a briefing to the newsmen here on Thursday. He informed that the district administration launched the vigorous campaign against the defaulters of government dues Rs 5.672 million has been recovered under head of stamp duty while Rs
4.547 million were recovered registration fee arrears. He said that 46.138 million recovered under capital value tax(CVT), 52.710 million of registration fee against annual target, 65.615 million of annual target of CVT, 4.713 million under AIT, 2701.327 million recovered in annual target of stamp duty and 95.836 million under other heads of govt. dues.
He also informed that 24319 kanals and 6 marlas land were acquired for construction Karachi Lahore Motorway (KLM) and Rs 2.495 billion had been disbursed among KLM affectees. He said that 1276 cases were disposed off by the courts of Revenue Officers.
ADCR told that 30253 mutations issues were resolved and 14589 missing mutations retrieved and service of 81 Mouzas has been made operational during the last year. He also told that the booths in each tehsil headquarter had been established to issue Farad in order to provide the services to general public at their door steps. The ADCR said that revenue staff had been directed to remain active for looking after the state land in their respective areas as they were custodian of the state land.
